At PeopleWorks, we believe people are the driving force behind what works. The single greatest way to improve results in your organization is by investing in your people. Healthy leaders lead healthy teams, and healthy teams produce healthy results.

One thing elite leaders have in common with elite athletes is coaching. Our Executive Coaching services empower your leaders with the skills, insights, and strategies they need to drive elite performance, informed by thousands of leadership conversations across industries. We tailor every engagement to the person in front of us, whether they are stepping into a bigger role, working through a hard problem, or simply ready to get better at what they already do well.

Common Coaching Scenarios

Coaching isn’t one thing. The right engagement depends on where your leader is and what you’re trying to accomplish. These are the situations we are brought in to support most often.

  1. New Executive Intensive
You’ve just promoted someone into a bigger role and you want them to hit the ground running. We help them build a 30-60-90-180 day plan to accelerate performance from the start. This often works best as a focused intensive, one to two days right out of the gate rather than coaching spread thin over twelve months, followed by periodic check-ins through the year to keep the plan on track.
  2. Big Problem Sprint
A major problem is on the table, and the leader needs to work toward a solution quickly. We bring a coaching sprint to the leader, or to their key team, so the people who have to get it right have dedicated support while they do.
  3. Navigating a Transition
A new role, a new team, or a reorganization changes the ground under a leader’s feet, and they need to find their footing quickly. Coaching alongside the leader through the transition gives them a steady resource through the stretch where the role is still new.
  4. Growth & Development
This is our most common engagement, typically running around twelve months, and it doesn’t start with a crisis. Sometimes you simply have an emerging or high-potential leader, or talent already in a bigger role, worth investing in over time. Ongoing coaching supports strong leaders in their current role and their long-term career growth, giving your best people a steady resource to keep getting better. It’s one of the clearest signals you can send that you’re invested in them.

Our Approach

Executive coaching is not about having all the answers. It is about asking better questions, challenging assumptions, and helping leaders unlock their next level of performance.

Coaching is personal, so we build each engagement around the individual rather than running everyone through the same track.

Most engagements run a minimum of six months, with an average of about eight, and some extend beyond a year. We’ll recommend the length and cadence that fit the goal, whether that’s a short intensive with check-ins or a longer program alongside the leader.

  1. Personalized Coaching Plans
We start with a thorough look at each leader’s strengths, development areas, and professional goals, then build a coaching plan around the specific challenges and opportunities in front of them.
  2. Experienced Coaches
Our coaches bring real experience from a range of industries, and they’ve led at the level of the people they coach. They offer practical perspective that helps leaders reach their full potential, not theory from a textbook.
  3. Confidential and Supportive Environment
We create a confidential, supportive space where leaders can explore new ideas, get honest feedback, and develop real strategies. The goal is trust, because that’s where meaningful growth happens.

Engagement length depends on the goal. A focused sprint addresses an urgent problem in a short, intensive window, while ongoing coaching for a transition or for growth and development typically runs around twelve months. We’ll recommend the length and cadence that fit what you’re trying to accomplish.

Why PeopleWorks

We believe leadership is a skill, and developing it well takes more than good content.

We have learned from and worked with world-class organizations including Toyota, Caterpillar, Coca-Cola, EOG Resources, and Berkshire Hathaway. We keep up with the research and tools so that what we teach stays useful to the leaders sitting in front of us. The core principles of good leadership do not change, so rather than reinventing them, we sharpen and update the proven foundation we have crafted year after year and keep them practical for the challenges your people face today.

Our trainers, facilitators, and coaches have decades of leadership experience, and they have led at all levels and business sizes, from mid-level management to the C-suite. They have been in your shoes, so the guidance comes from having done the job, not from a textbook.

That experience is not just history. Our coaches are in the work every day, sitting with leaders as they navigate the same pressures your teams face right now, hiring and promotion calls, underperforming teams, hard changes, and the constant pull of driving performance while building culture. Each of these weekly conversations teaches us something current about what leadership demands today. Over the past year alone, our team provided executive and leadership coaching to more than 120 leaders, from board chairs and CEOs to the senior and emerging leaders coming up behind them, across more than 50 organizations of nearly every size and structure. You get senior, Fortune-500-caliber experience, grounded in today’s realities and tailored to your leader and your organization.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between an executive coaching firm and an individual executive coach?

An individual coach offers one relationship and one perspective. A firm gives you a bench, so leaders can be matched to a coach by background and level, and several leaders can be coached at once under a consistent method. PeopleWorks is engaged by organizations rather than by individuals, and the work starts with assessment data instead of conversation alone.

We also are more than an executive coaching firm. We are embedded in organizations of all sizes across industries coaching and working with hundreds of leaders each month. We see what works and does not work and can share experiences that many leaders do not get to see or hear outside of their organization.

Typical engagements run a minimum of six months and average about 9-12 months, with some continuing past a year. A New Executive Intensive can run as a focused one to two day engagement or 90 day sprint followed by check-ins across the year. Length depends on what the leader is working toward, and we will tell you if a shorter engagement makes more sense.

We contract with three parties: the leader, the sponsoring executive, and the coach. You receive the development goals and progress against them. What gets said inside a session stays between the leader and the coach. These boundaries are written down and agreed before the first session, so nobody is guessing about them later. We want to have periodic check ins with the sponsoring executive to gather feedback, align on approach, recognize accomplishments and make recommendations. We can do all those tasks while protecting confidentiality.

Yes. We coach individual leaders and full leadership teams, and coaching often runs alongside a broader development program. Coaches are matched to leaders by background and level rather than assigning one generalist across every function.

We believe in the importance of gathering data and feedback early on to establish a baseline before any coaching happens. This can be done through assessments, interviews and 360-degree feedback. We then work with the leader and their sponsor to create a focused development plan naming what the leader is working on and how each objective will be measured. We then track progress against the plan and update objectives along the way as targets are met.

In some coaching scenarios, the engagements are less focused on documented targets, but rather a space for a sounding board to process decisions and build confidence in the leaders direction.

We are headquartered in Dallas-Fort Worth at 4849 Greenville Ave. #100-201, Dallas, TX 75206. We work with clients across North America. Coaching is delivered in person and virtually depending on what best suits your organization and leaders.
